Vigil services for Margaret G. Johnson, 83, of Lompoc, will be 7 p.m. Thursday, April 25, 2013 at the chapel of Starbuck-Lind Mortuary. A funeral mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday, April 26 at La Purisima Catholic Church with Rev. Thomas Cook, celebrating. Burial will follow at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
Margaret was born October 31, 1929 in Trinidad, Colorado to Juan and Benita Perez-Galindo. She moved to Lompoc in 1943. She enjoyed shopping, traveling, bingo, and loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Charlie Johnson; sons, Nemesio (Patti) Balcena and Adam Balcena; daughters, Marcela (Jimmy) Eskelson; sisters, Mary (Danny) Terrones and Becky (Arturo) Jimenez; three grandsons, three granddaughter, six great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husband, Adam Balcena, Sr.; daughter, Delcar Balcena; sons, Anthony Balcena and Ricky Johnson; brothers, Frank and Mike Galindo and Ralph Hernandez.
Visitation hours will be 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary.
