Margaret Ann Ornelas passed away on Friday, May 13, 2016. Margaret Ann was a long time resident of Lompoc, CA. She was born in Lansing, Michigan on November 29, 1938 to Clarence F and Ida Maria (Hersha) Bohnett. She attended Bob Jones University in Denver, CO where she met and married Anastacio D. Ornelas on June 3rd, 1960.
The family moved to California in 1967. Margaret Ann graduated from Chico State University with a teaching degree. The family moved to Lompoc in 1971. She was a very active member of her church, Calvary Baptist in Vandenberg Village, playing the organ, teaching Sunday school and other youth programs. She was the Librarian at Los Padres Elementary School where she retired after many years.
She is survived by her four children, eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
A celebration of Ann's life, as everyone knew her as, will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016. at 2:00 pm at Calvary Baptist in Vandenberg Village following a private family service at Lompoc Cemetery.
