Obituary

Margaret (Peg) Marie Glensor Wolcott passed away on April 14, 2010 in Lompoc, CA. She was born September 28, 1918 in San Francisco, CA, to Harry W. Glensor and Margaret M. Goetting. Peg attended grammar school in San Francisco and Watsonville, CA, and graduated from Dominican Convent Secondary School in San Rafael, CA, in 1936. She received her B.A. from Stanford University in 1941 where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority, and her Masters Degree from San Jose State University in 1963.

She taught high school English and French in San Jose, CA, from 1957 to 1968. While on a tour of England in 1967, Peg met her loving husband, Alan T. Wolcott. She and Alan lived in Chicago, Illinois, from 1968 until 1981, when they retired to Lompoc.

Peg is survived by her daughter Peggy (husband Bob) Hebert of Lompoc, son Bill (wife Veeda) Cumming of Texas, stepdaughter Wendi (husband Paul) Seminari of Minnesota, stepson Mark Wolcott of Michigan, sister Joan Lawson of Carmel, CA, 10 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alan T. Wolcott.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated by Msgr. John Fitzgerald at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at Queen of Angels Catholic Church followed by interment at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.

Peg's family wishes to thank the doctors who cared for her, the staffs at the Lompoc Hospital and the Comprehensive Care Center for their kindness and support during the past four weeks, and her special caregivers for the last three years, Cathy and Isabel.
