Margarita Sciarappa of Lompoc died Sunday, January 7, 2018, at the age of 85.

Margarita was born February 5, 1932, to Frank and Jennie Arreola in Corona, California. Formerly of Culver City, she was a resident of Lompoc since 1990.

A lifelong homemaker, Margarita was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved to read and was known as a great storyteller. She was a member of Queen of Angels Catholic Church and the Italian Catholic Foundation chapter #159.

Margarita was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Antonio Sciarappa in 2004. She is survived by her daughters Diana Elias of Lompoc, Jenni Shaw of Arizona, Antonette Sciarappa of Mar Vista; her son Michael A. Sciarappa of Torrance; her sister Frances Reynoso of Alton, California; her brothers Frank Arreola, Jr. of Nipomo and Mario Arreola of Mar Vista; seven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her brother Robert Arreola, and two grandchildren, Cruz Antonio Elias and Mary Angela Elias.

The visitation will be Friday, January 12, 2018, from 4-7pm, with the evening vigil at 7pm in the chapel of the Starbuck-Lind mortuary. The funeral service will be at 9am on Saturday, January 13, also at the mortuary. Burial will follow in the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
