Mrs. Parker passed away May 4, 2019 at her daughter Diana's home at the age of 84.  Mrs. Parker was born in Madison, Mississippi and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Born the daughter of Minnie Jones McElroy and Jimmie McElroy.  Margie married her high school sweet heart, Edward James Parker, Sr. on September 19, 1953, and to that union they had three sons (Edward (Eddie) James, Jr., Stanley Leon, and Jimmie Lionel) and four daughters (Tira Ann, Diana Marie, Sharon Michele, and Ridonia Selena).

Mrs. Parker retired as a Certified Nurse Assistant and spent a good part of her years working for Lompoc Convalescent Home and various In-Home Care.

Mrs. Parker is preceded  in death by her parents, Minnie Jones McElroy and Jimmie McElroy, husband Edward James, Parker, Sr., sons Edward (Eddie) James Parker, Jr., and Jimmie Lionel Parker, daughter Ridonia Selena Parker, and great granddaughter Aubrey Marie Livingston.  She is also preceded by brothers Jimmie (Sonny) McElroy and Buddy McElroy.  She is survived by her children Stanley Leon Parker, Tira Ann Parker Pittman, Diana Marie Parker, and Sharon Michele Parker-Gill, two nieces Shelly McElroy King and Dorothy McElroy, nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Viewing will be held Tuesday May 14, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary Chapel.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at

2:30 p.m. at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary Chapel in Lompoc with Reverend Darrell Tullis officiating.
