Maria Martinez Navarrete of Lompoc died Saturday, January 10, 2015, at the age of 66.

Maria was born August 2, 1948 in Santiago Maravatio, Guanajuato, Mexico to Rodrigo and Maria Navarrete.

A resident of Lompoc since 1966, she is survived by her son Francisco Javier Navarrete of Texas, her grandchildren Liliana Peaches Navarrete of Lompoc, Luciano Carlitos Navarrete-Hayes of Lompoc, and Antonio Navarrete-Hayes of Lompoc, brother Raul (Esther) Aldama of Lompoc, sister Raquel Lopez of Lompoc, brother Timothy M. Navarrete of Santa Barbara, sister Adel N. Dominguez of Santa Barbara, sister Ida Alvarez of Watsonville, brother Rodrigo Navarrete of Hollister, brother Jose Ruben Navarrete of Hollister, and brother Michial Navarrete of Stockton. She was preceded in death by her brother John Jim Navarrete.

The visitation will be on Thursday, January 15, from 4-7 pm with the recitation of the rosary at 6pm in the chapel of the Starbuck-Lind Mortuary. The mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by Father Tom Cook on Friday, January 16, at 10 am at La Purisima Catholic Church in Lompoc. Burial will follow in the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
