Obituary
Maria M. Resendiz, 79, of Lompoc passed away peacefully at the Convalescent Care Center of Lompoc on Saturday May 16th, 2015.
Maria was born in Pisaflores, Hidalgo, Mexico to Virginio and Eusebia on March 24, 1936. Maria was married to Rutilio Resendiz in 1954 and had nine children. She is survived by 5 children, Cesi, Elia, Carmen, Adan and Rubi Resendiz; 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and by her sisters Nora, Agustina and Alejandra.
She enjoyed baking and was a baker for more than 50 years. Maria was a lover of classical Mexican music. She moved to Lompoc, California in 2001 with her daughters.
The family is thankful to the professional medical community including the doctors who cared for her heath and nurses at the Lompoc Valley Medical Center and Convalescent Care Center.
A vigil and viewing will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2015 from 4-8 pm at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary with a Rosary at 7pm. Mass will be held on Friday May 22, 2015 at 10 am at La Purisima Concepcion Catholic Church, 213 West Olive Avenue. Burial will follow at the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
