On December 3, 2016, Marian Alicante Limjoco passed away at the age of 88 surrounded by family at her home in Lompoc, CA.

Born in Portland, Oregon on August 12, 1928, Marian moved with her family to the Philippines at age 4. She graduated from St. Scholastica's College, married Agapito "Pete" Limjoco and had four sons. In 1968 she moved back to the US with her family and settled in Lompoc, CA. Over the years she worked for the Lompoc Unified School District, the Lompoc Branch of Sansum Clinic and as a County Commissioner for Human Services for Fourth District Supervisor Tim Staffel. Aside from work, she devoted her time to the Catholic Church and served in the Franciscan 3rd Order, organized the Legion of Mary and Charismatic, and also sang in the choir at La Purisima Church. Marian also found joy in sharing her rich Filipino culture with the City of Lompoc as a pioneer of the Lompoc Filipino American Club. She held multiple terms as President and shared her culture's traditions, folk dances and food with the Lompoc Community.

Most important to her was her family. She is preceded in death by her son, Arthur Limjoco and her husband Pete Limjoco. She is survived by her sons Sonny Limjoco of Stockton, CA, Bobby (Erlyn) Limjoco of Virginia Beach, VA and Tony Limjoco of Lompoc, CA and also by her 21 grandchildren and great-grand children.

Services will be held Thursday, December 8, 2016 at 10:30am at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary in Lompoc, CA followed by a ceremony at the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
