Marie, passed away on August 14, 2018, at the age of 82 years.

Born December 3 ^rd 1935 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and grew-up in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania until the age of 18.  Marie then moved to the Lompoc Valley in 1961.  Marie attended the Ursuline Academy in Wilmington Delaware.  After marrying and moving to the Lompoc Valley, Marie had three children.

Marie was a dedicated and wonderful mother to her three children.  As one of the founding members of the Village Hills Little League, Marie was the treasurer and managed all concessions for over 10 years.  Marie retired from Lockheed located on Vandenberg Air Force Base and was licensed in Real Estate.

Marie is preceded in death by her parents Carlo and Chiara Traversa and her brother Pete Traversa.  Marie is survived by her three beloved children Mike Duffey of Vandenberg Village, Kelly Moore (Mike Moore) of Lompoc and John Duffey (Laura Duffey) of Atlanta Georgia numerous close nieces and nephews of the Traversa Family and six grandchildren, John, Duffey, Alyssa, Boomer, William and Julia.

Starbuck-Lind Mortuary is handling all burial services.  After cremation Marie will be buried alongside her mother and father.  A Grave-side memorial of Marie ' s life will be held Friday August 24 ^th at  3 :00 PM at the Lompoc Cemetery 600 S C St, Lompoc, CA 93436 .
