Marion Bracken, age 97, formerly of Putnam IL passed away peacefully at Comprehensive Care Center in Lompoc on October 11, 2009.
Marion was born to Harry and Viola Finley in Lonetree Township, Illinois on April 20, 1912. She had three older sisters and one younger brother. Her parents and siblings all preceded her in death.
Marion lived in the Putnam area until 1963 before moving to Urbana, IL. Marion received training to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. She then worked in the newborn nursery at Burnham City Hospital in Urbana for 12 years. After retiring she moved to Apopka FL in 1980. Then in 1985 she moved to Lompoc CA.
She is survived by her children , Hiram (Lee) and daughter in law Sharon of Lompoc, Margaret Kennie of Las Vegas, NV and John and Karen of Clermont, FL; and six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Services will be held at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary on Friday, November 13, 2009 at 11 a.m.
