Marjorie A. Hafen
1912 – 2009
Marjorie A Hafen of Lompoc died Friday, February 20, 2009, in Santa Clara at the age of 96.
Marjorie was born October 10, 1912, in Pasadena, California. She was a devout Christian who loved the Lord. She was a member of the Women's Club and a Life Member of the Grange #246. She was a volunteer for the American Red Cross for many years. She enjoyed doll collecting and growing flowers.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years William Hafen in 2003. Her daughters Diana Michael and Joanna Lennard, her brother Robert Hill, granddaughter Kathy Switzer, grandson Philip Michael and great granddaughter Kathryn Switzer also preceded her in death. Seven grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren survive her.
The graveside funeral service will be on Friday, March 6, 2009, at 2 pm in the pavilion of the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery. The arrangements are under the direction of Starbuck-Lind Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers her family suggests donations to a memorial trust account that has been established in her name at the Bank of America, 215 North H Street in Lompoc.
