Marjorie Esther White passed away on June 15, 2013 at her home. She was born June 27, 1919 in Tipton, Indiana. She married in 1944 and moved to Lompoc in 1960. Marjorie led a full life during her 93 years on earth. She served her country as a nurse in the Army Air Corp and was a World War II Veteran. She then later worked as a substitute teacher for Lompoc Unified School District.
Marjorie has been a member of the Lompoc Alpha Club since 1974, loved to travel and dedicated her life to her family. She was the best mother anyone could have had. Marjorie had a great sense of humor and kindness that touched many. She will greatly be missed by all.
Marjorie was preceded in death by both her parents, William and Florence Smith; husband, Douglas J. White and brother, William Smith.
She leaves behind her children Sharron Gerhardt (Herman), Kathleen Waugh (Robert), Stephen White (Cynthia), Deborah Williams (Scott) and Terrie Concellos (Gary); her grandchildren Kay Mendoza (Dan), Robert Rekward (Val), Tiffany Williams, Adam Williams and Colton Concellos and great grandchildren Danika, Michael and Miranda Mendoza.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, June 21, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary Chapel. Private Interment at Lompoc Cemetery District at a later date.
