Mark Reynolds of Lompoc passed away on June 29, 2007 in Santa Maria at the age of 46.
Mark was born to Edgar and Hallie Reynolds on June 19, 1961 in Canoga Park, California. He was raised and educated in Santa Barbara and graduated from Santa Barbara High School in 1979. He married Cheryl Clay, his high school sweetheart, in 1983. They settled in Lompoc in 1988.
Mark worked for Soil Moisture Corp. and later for Medical Concepts Inc., now known as Karl Storz Imaging in Goleta. He was continuing his education at various college satellites in Santa Barbara County.
Mark loved his family, he loved children, he loved the Lord and he loved to play. Early in his marriage he was a member of a bowling league in Goleta, he was a very competitive volleyball player and an avid water skier. He coached his sons in Little League and was on the Lompoc Foursquare Church softball team where earned the nickname of "Pigpen". His latest passion was motocross.
Always happy and never complaining, Mark favorite passtime was bragging about his children.
Mark is survived by the love of his life, and wife of 23 years, Cheryl Reynolds of Lompoc; his parents Edgar and Hallie Reynolds of Santa Barbara; daughter Michelle Elizabeth Reynolds of Lompoc; sons, Steven Daniel Reynolds and Jonathan David Reynolds of Lompoc; sister and brother-in-law, Cheryl and Jim Costello of Connecticut; brothers and sisters-in-law, Douglas and Loretta Reynolds of Santa Barbara, Steve and Dawn of Stockton, and Dan and Marie of Santa Barbara.
The memorial service will be on Saturday, July 7, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at the Lompoc Foursquare Church, 125 North C Street in Lompoc. Pastor Bernie Fedderman will officiate.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations made to a memorial fund in his name at any branch of Santa Barbara Bank and trust.
Cremation will be followed by private inurnment. Arrangements are under the direction of the Starbuck-Lind Mortuary.
