Marlene McNeil Carpenter of Lompoc died Sunday, May 1, 2011,at the age of 64.
Marlene was born December 9, 1946, in Heber City, Utah, to Marlin and June McNeil. She graduated from Wasatch High School with the class of 1965. She has been a resident of Lompoc since 1972.
A lifelong homemaker, Marlene worked part time as a bartender at the Whistle Stop and Your Place or Mine in Lompoc. She also worked at the Solvang Lutheran Home. She was a member of Lompoc Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She was a woman who lived a selfless life. Her joy was being with her family. She was a great giver of love, support and encouragement. She was the anchor God used to keep her family together in love
Marlene is survived by her son Ron (LaNae) Carpenter of American Fork, Utah, son Robert (Michelle) Carpenter of Lompoc, sister Allyson Larson of Heber City, Karen Ochoa of Lompoc, sister Lisa Rae Christopher of Las Vegas and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
A visitation will be held on Friday, May 6, from 4-7pm at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary. Interment will be in the Francis Cemetery in Francis, Utah at a later date.
