Marlene Joyce Miller
A California Resident, Marlene J. Miller, 85 died April 2nd, 2017 at her home in Lompoc, California. A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
Marlene was born January 25th, 1932, in Orange Cove, California to John (Jack) and Vella Ray.
She enjoyed playing tennis and golf and loved to go fishing and relax in the peaceful surroundings of the mountains. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
Marlene was a loving and caring wife and mother, who devoted her life to raising her three daughters and working from home selling Avon, then later in retail and always found time to volunteer and donate her knitting projects to the local hospitals.
After meeting each other in school, they became high school sweethearts, Marlene and John W. Miller married and started their family and settled in Santa Barbara, California
Marlene is survived by her sister Gloria Loftis, sister-in-law Dolores Ray, sister-in-law Mary Miller, Her Daughters, Cindy Miller, Lori Chappell, Julie Jones and spouse Paul Jones, 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Marlene is preceded in death by her husband John William Miller, her father John (Jack) Ray, her mother Vella Ray, her brother Jack Ray and brother-in-law Jim Loftis.
Contributions can be made in Marlene's name to the Mission of Hope Cancer Center or Dignity Hospice.
