Marlon Wardell Brumfield Jr., 22, of Lompoc, California, passed away September 8, 2019. Marlon was born February 25, 1997, in St. Joseph, Michigan, to Marlon Brumfield Sr. and Lashunda Miller. He relocated to Lompoc in 2005.

Marlon graduated from El Puente High School. During his high school years, he enjoyed the time he spent playing football at Cabrillo High. He joined the United States Army in 2017 and was stationed in Germany. Marlon dreamed of being a veterinarian. He enjoyed playing video games, listening to music, reading Manga comic books and had a special love for monkeys.

He is survived by parents Marlon Brumfield Sr. of Las Vegas, Nevada, Lashunda Miller of Lompoc, sisters Janicia Small and Kayla Lavalais of Lompoc, Grandparents Carolyn Warton-Longoria and Daniel Longoria of Lompoc, Earl Miller and Meishonya Miller of Hammond, Louisiana, aunt and uncle Justina Wharton and Anjoma Miller, and his wonderful niece Kaylee Taylor.

A visitation will be held on Friday, September 20, at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary from 4-7 PM. A funeral service will follow at 2PM on Saturday, September 21, at True Vine Bible Fellowship. In lieu of flowers, please donate to America's Gold Star Families.
