Martha F. Webb was born May 18, 1934, on a farm in Creekside, Pennsylvania. She was the youngest of 7 children. Martha graduated High School and went to work for the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, Ohio. She was only 17.

After some time, she made a bold move out to Los Angeles, California. Martha was recommended, by a bank manager she had impressed, to go apply for a new startup company, STL (Space Technology Laboratories), which later became The Aerospace Corporation.

She met and married her husband of 40 years, Don Webb, until his death in 2001. They lived and worked in El Segundo and raised 3 children. She was involved in many clubs – Order of The Eastern Star - PM (Past Worthy Matron, a 50-year member), Moose Club, and Rebekahs and had many friends.

In 1982 Martha relocated to Lompoc. She went to work at Vandenberg Air Force Base on the Space Shuttle Program working closely with NASA and The Air Force. She was so excited to be part of this new launch site for the Shuttle.

Martha became the Executive Director Assistant under the Director of The Western Range Division of the Aerospace Corporation.

She was very proud of her 45 years there and retired at 80!

Martha had great faith in God and was a member of the Lompoc SDA Church. She often taught the Bible lesson with so much love in her heart for Jesus.

She loved living in Lompoc, and had excellent neighbors, and loved to go to breakfast with friends and family. Martha was a true matriarch, and a natural born leader loved by all.

Martha passed away peacefully on July 17, 2025, surrounded by her children.

She was preceded in death by her husband Don in 2001, and her son Daniel in 1996.

She is survived by son Tim (Suzette) Webb of Norwalk, California, daughter Julie (Joe) France of Chattanooga, Tennessee. Five grandchildren, Nicolette, Austin, Meagan, Analisa, Karina, and one great granddaughter, Juliette; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025 at 10 am at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary Chapel, graveside service to follow at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.

Immediately after the graveside service, the family will gather with close friends for a reception at La Botte Restaurant, 825 North H Street, Lompoc, CA 93436.
