Obituary

Marvin Oscar Stromberg passed away on August 25, 2007 from cancer, at the age of 90. Survived by his wife of 66 years Wanda von Ezdorf Shreve Stromberg . He is survived by his brother Leanord (Romona), sons Eric, Leif (Linda), and daughter Ingrid (Wayne Harris), grandchildren Scott and Rick (Nancy), and great-granddaughter Grace. He was born in 1917 in Polk, Nebraska. Was the middle of 9 children born to Anna Josephine and Frank Oscar Stromberg.



Graduated from George Washington University in Washington D.C., with a major in business administration. Was a founding member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity at G.W. Joined the United States Navy and served in the South Pacific during World War II and retired from the Navy Reserves as a Lieutenant Commander. Worked for and proudly retired after 37 years from the federal government from the department of Health and Human Services.



Maintained an active lifestyle including golfing and jogging. He was a member of the Village Country club and was very active in square dancing including being a member of the Lompoc Rocking Squares. He was passionate about his family and his politics. We remember the vigor of his life, and celebrate his accomplishments.



At his request no services will be held. Interment at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
