Mary Lee Avants of Lompoc, passed away April 13, 2018 at the age of 54.  She was born June 13, 1963 to Lee Avants and Ora Faye Ward in Ventura, California.  Mary was employed by Civil Service at Vandenberg Air Force Base as a contracting specialist since 1989.

The activities Mary enjoyed were jewelry making, photography, gardening.  She was involved in the Santa Ynez Valley Therapeutic Riding program, Return to Freedom Wild Horse Conservation and the American Cancer Society.

Mary is survived by her sisters Valorie Avants, Renee (Andrew) Campbell, Pamela Avants; nephews Gregory Bell and Matthew Campbell, niece Linsey Avants, along with eleven grand nieces and nephews, including three sets of twins.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service will be held at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary April 20, 2018 at 3:00 pm with a reception at Grace Baptist Church following the service.
