Mary Alice (Dewdney) Fisher, 86, of Lompoc passed away on January 19, 2018.  She was born in Ladonia, Missouri on May 29, 1931 to Sarah and Frank Dewdney, the second of eight children.  Mary grew up in Kansas, spending several years in an orphanage.

Mary married Ben Fisher in 1953 and together they had six children; Theresa, Lucinda, Stephen, Jeanette, Bonnie and Michael who passed at the age of 20. They adopted Thomas at ten years old.  Mary has 15 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Mary enjoyed square dancing, swimming, church. visiting the sick, and Meals on Wheels.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 28, from, 4-8 pm at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary.  A funeral mass will be held at 10 am on Monday, January 29 at La Purisima Catholic Church.
