Mary C. Hyland of Lompoc died Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at the age of 75.

Mary was born March 27, 1938, in Malta to Nazzareno and Emily Saliba. Her family immigrated to the United States when she was 17 years of age and settled in New York. After finishing nursing school she moved to Lompoc where she was employed by the Lompoc Healthcare District as a registered nurse for over 35 years.

Mary is survived by her son Dennis Hyland of Michigan, her son and daughter-in-law Matt and Lynne Hyland of Lompoc and her daughter and son-in-law Cathy and Mike Brown of San Diego, her brothers Joseph Saliba of Redding and Alfred Saliba of Michigan, her sister Rose Davis of Michigan, her grandchildren Michael, Steven, Tiffany, John, Jason, Garrett, Shelby, Collin, Zack, Derek, Jordan and Delaney and her great grandchildren Amber, Paiton, Brayden and Mason

The memorial mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 21, at 8 am at La Purisima Catholic Church in Lompoc. Interment will follow in the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
