Mary Diane Kozumplik, a beloved resident of Lompoc, California, passed away peacefully on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on December 21, 1946, in Presque Isle, Maine, Diane spent most of her childhood in Lompoc, graduating from Lompoc High School in 1964. She remained a lifelong resident of Lompoc, proudly calling it home.

Diane is survived by her three children: Bonnie Burlock-Parkison of Roseville, California, Mary Heather Leonard of Lompoc, California, and George Anton "Tony" Kozumplik of Lompoc, California. She is also cherished by her 11 grandchildren: Nicole Siminski, Sarah Wise, Kristina Jimenez, Cory McMahan, Ashley Biven, Hailey Biven, Anthony Kozumplik, Isaiah Kozumplik, Travis Gil, Carson Kozumplik, and Daniel Kozumplik. Diane's legacy includes nine great-grandchildren. All her grandchildren adored their Grammie, who delighted them with her playful spirit, often wearing whimsical hats and glasses to elicit their laughter. Diane is also survived by her loving siblings, Bonnie Gammon and Sterling Preston as well as various extended family members.

Diane was predeceased by her husband, George Anton Kozumplik, her daughter Dora Jean Kozumplik, and her great granddaughter Natalie McMahan. She was also predeceased by her brother, Terry Dodson as well as beloved parents and grandparents.

In addition to her family, Diane's passions included her faith and a deep love for animals. She possessed a radiant smile and a contagious sense of humor that brightened the lives of those around her. Known for her kindness and unwavering friendship, Diane never met a stranger.

At Diane's request, memorial services will not be held. She will be laid to rest at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Lompoc Animal Shelter.
