Vigil services for Mary Terrones Morales, 85, of Lompoc will be 6 pm Thursday, April 7, 2016 at the chapel of Starbuck-Lind Mortuary. A funeral mass will be celebrated 10 am Friday at La Purisima Catholic Church with Rev. Tom Cook, Celebrant. Burial will follow at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
Mary was born July 11, 1930 in Guadalupe, California to Bernardino and Augustina Salas Terrones. She married Jose Avila Morales on September 11, 1952, and together they raised 11 children. Mary was a wonderful homemaker who loved to cook, enjoyed family barbeques at her ranch, and was especially fond of her grandchildren.
She died Sunday, April 3, 2016 at her home with family by her side.
She is survived by her children Joe Morales, Magdalena Baca (Arthur), Anthony Morales (Alicia), Emma Montoya, Maria Weihert, Raul Morales (Annette), John Morales, James Morales, Gabriel Morales, and David Morales. Other survivors include her brother Charlie Terrones, sister Josephine Greco, numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, her son George Morales, and her husband Jose Morales.
