Graveside services for Mary Rose Summers, 88, of Lompoc, will be 11 a.m. Monday, March 21, 2016 at the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery with Pastor Randy Working of the First Presbyterian Church presiding.
Mary was born November 28, 1927 in Camarillo, California to Alfred and Bessie Hurt. She was a lifelong homemaker who enjoyed cooking and loved spending time with family especially around the holidays. Mary belonged to several clubs and organizations in her lifetime that included the T-Timers Auto Club, Alpha Club, Lompoc Historical Society, and the 4-H Club.
She died Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at the Comprehensive Care Center in Lompoc.
Survivors and spouses include her sons Rick (Carol) Summers of Lompoc, Allan Summers of Lompoc, and Mike (Alicia) Summers of Boise, Idaho; grandchildren Karie (Skip) Ostler, Cory (Lovella) Summers, Rachael Summers, and Ian (Sarah) Jarolmik-Summers; great- grandchildren Hannah Ostler, Ashlyn Summers, and Annette Summers. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Leland in 2004 and sister Louise Signorelli.
The family would like to extend their appreciation and heartfelt gratitude for the care and support they received from Dr. Gilbert Andersen and his staff and the Comprehensive Care Center.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to a charity of choice.
