Mary Jo Shriver, age 89, passed away peacefully with family by her side on March 23.

Born and raised in Ohio, she graduated with honors with an Arts Education degree from Ohio University. She married the love of her life and raised her children while teaching and volunteering at the local arts and crafts center.

After relocating to California with her husband, she continued her volunteering, tutoring English. Many of her students became life long friends. She enjoyed teaching and giving back. It gave her such joy!

She is survived by her children Steve (Debbie) of Santa Maria and Susan of Lompoc. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, Dave.

Private services will be held in Ohio. Her family and friends will miss her dearly.
