Mary Irene Spear, age 74, was called home to be with Jesus on October 31, 2026. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born on December 8, 1951, in Lake City, Tennessee. 

Mary was a devoted wife and mother who loved her family dearly. She enjoyed reading, especially religious books and cookbooks. She loved listening to gospel bluegrass music and had a quick wit and wonderful sense of humor. Mary loved crafting and making gifts for the people she cared about. She also loved cooking and making sure no one left her house hungry. 

Mary was preceded in death by her mother, Lucille Lowe; her brother, Larry Wilson; her sisters, Janet Phillips and Nancy Sharp; her beloved son-in-law, James Coulter; Amelie; and her beloved dog, Poopers. 

Mary is survived by her loving husband, Bradford Allen Spear; her son, Joshua Spear; and her daughters, Jaime Coulter, Heather and her husband, Eric Schiff, and KariAnne Spear. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Michael, Alexander, Jeremy, David, Nathan, Sarah, Aaron, and EmmaRose, along with many other family members and friends who will dearly miss her. 

A celebration of Mary’s life will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the pavilion at Lompoc Cemetery in Lompoc, California.
