Mary Ethel Williams 93, died Saturday, February 8, 2014, at the Lompoc Skilled & Rehab Center.
Ethel was born on November 27, 1920, in Coronation, Alberta, Canada. She and her family moved to Lompoc, California when she was nine years old. Ethel graduated from Lompoc High School in 1938. She married Stanley Williams, Sr. on May 23, 1940. Ethel and her husband moved to Red Bluff, California in 1948, to be dairy farmers for twelve years. They moved back to Lompoc in 1960, where she worked as bookkeeper for Lompoc Unified School District. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading and watching golf.
She is survived by her son Stanley (Skoot) Williams, Jr. (Carol) of Oroville, California, grandchildren Chris Williams and Kathy Nissen (Mark), great grandchildren Madi and Mark, Jr., her sister Violet Bottroff McNett, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 73 years Stanley Williams Sr. on January 17th of this year, and her dear daughter Janet Rios in 2004. Her sister Beaulah Schultz, brothers Walter Galloway and Bill Galloway.
Graveside services will be held Friday, February 14, 2014, at 2:00pm at the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
