Matilda Jane "Tillie" Daniel of Lompoc died Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at the age of 95.

Tillie was born July 8, 1926, in Bristol, Rhode Island to Joseph and Mary Santos.  Formerly of Massachusetts, she came to California in1958.  She worked as a waitress at the Royal Coach Restaurant in Lompoc for many years.  She was a member of the Half Century Club where she enjoyed Bingo, Bingo, and more Bingo.

Tillie is survived by her sons John W. (Linda) Daniel, Joel R. (Teri) Daniel, and Ronald D. (Beverly) Daniel; her grandchildren, Chad A Daniel, Jordan E. Daniel, Kiersten N. (Joe) Baca, Jenny J. (Damian) Honafius, Markie A. (Aaron) Wordley, Julie A. (Justin) Heid, Sidney M. Daniel, and Shelby R. Daniel; her great granddaughters Danica Honafius, Ailisha and Margot Wordley, and Tatum Rose Larson.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Sidney in 1980, her son Mark E. Daniel, her brother Joseph Santos, and sisters Maria Costa, Lydia Holt, Louise Richie, and Laura Hochberg.

A celebration of Tillie's life will be Saturday, July 9, 2022, at Miguelito Canyon Park in Lompoc.
