Maureen Patricia Mumaugh, 52, was born in Monterey Park, California, on October 6, 1963, to Patricia and Michael Grillo. On July 20, 2016, after a sudden illness, she went to be with her heavenly Father.

Maureen graduated from Reseda High School and lived most of her life in Ventura and Santa Barbara County cities. She and her mother, Pat, lived in Isla Vista for 16 years before coming to Lompoc in 2008. With the exception of one year of her life, Maureen and her mom were constant companions. Her grandmother, Elaine Selby, also played a big part in raising Maureen and her sister, Donna.

Maureen will be remembered for her love of people, her creativity (especially her flower pens!), her thoughtfulness and heart of gold. She loved to shop, eating Chinese food, things that sparkled, attending Lompoc Foursquare church and her service dog, Coco.

Maureen is survived by her mother, Patricia Soliman of Lompoc, her father, Michael Grillo of Spartanburg, South Carolina, her sister, Donna Grillo and brother-in-law Vince Gonzales of Los Angeles, her uncle Bob and aunt Kathy, cousins Kristen and Bobby of Van Nuys and countless friends, many who were like family to her.

A celebration of life will be held on Monday, August 8, 2016, at 7:00 p.m. in the Connections Building at the Lompoc Foursquare Church on corner of Walnut and C Street.
