OSBORNE, Melissa May, age 56, passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2021 in Lompoc, California. Melissa was born in Marysville, California and raised right here in Lompoc. She attended Cabrillo High School and graduated in 1984.

After her newfound faith, Melissa continued her education and received her Bachelor of Arts' in Christian Studies from Grand Canyon University. She was one year away from completing her Masters' in Christain Ministries from Grand Canyon University as well. Melissa was very passionate about her faith in Jesus Christ, she had aspirations to begin her work with the chaplaincy in order to serve God.

Melissa was an ardent animal activist. She had volunteered for several years at the Lompoc Animal Shelter while also founding her start-up company Me&Joes which supplied soothing CBD dog treats to the pets of the Central Coast.

Melissa's hobby was riding with her sisters in The Litas riding club. She was very proud of purchasing her first motorcycle, a Harley Davidson 883 Sportster.

Melissa's memory is cherished by her children: Rachel Gonzalez, Brandon Olson, and Alex Olson, her seven grandchildren: Onikah Martinez, David Navarro, Jordan Quintanilla, Victoria Garcia, Amyah Gonzalez, Jacqub Gonzalez, and Cameryn Olson, her sister Debbie Justice, and her niece and nephew Brittany Morrison and Seth Osborne.

Melissa's stayed positive by quoting Jeremiah 29:11

" For I know the plans I have for you" declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

In the end, Melissa would not want us to mourn her death but to cherish the life we hold. As God gave her a second chance, she would look at this as a new beginning: one to right our wrongs and realize how important family is.
