Melvin John Kimlinger (Mel) was born March 7, 1954, in St. Paul, MN. He served in the US Army from 1972 to 1974 in Korea. Mel earned his BS degree in Political Science.  Mel retired as Lompoc Post Master in 2010. He served on the SB Co. Civil Grand Jury, was a PGA tour volunteer, and an extra in movies/television. He was proceeded in death by his parents and oldest brother. Mel is survived by his wife of 35 years, Pamela, 3 children, Bill, Brian, and Kelley, 3 granddaughters, and 5 siblings.
