Obituary
It is with great sorrow the families of Mercedes "Mercy" Martinez, announce her death. Born September 10, 1916 in La Piedad, Michoacán Mexico to the former Sara Risa and Zararias Bravo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Salvy Martinez; parents, Sara Risa and Zararias Bravo; siblings, Manuel Bravo, Robert Bravo, Jeannie Garcia, Jessie De La Fuente and Mary Lou Hernandez. She is survived by sons Rudy (Janet) and Bobby (Jennie) Martinez. Siblings Angie Trujillo and Ralph Bravo, four grandchildren, seven great- grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Days before celebrating her 101 birthday, Mercy entered eternal life on August 23, 2017.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary Chapel from 6-8 pm and a funeral mass will be celebrated on August 31, 2017 at 10 am at La Purisima Catholic Church, Lompoc, California. Burial will follow at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
