IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michael Vincent
George
June 8, 1981 – September 24, 2021
Michael Vincent George, age 40 of Lompoc, California passed on Friday, September 24, 2021.
While growing up in Lompoc, Michael loved Sesame Street, Transformers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Tonka Trucks covered in mud. He loved riding his bike to buy candy at the Mission Hills Market. He loved playing catch, football, and baseball. He loved everything that kept him busy and exhausted others.
In adulthood, Michael moved to Las Vegas, Nevada which he called his home for many years. There he immersed himself into his work of fine dining. He had a passion for learning the craft of preparing cuisine and pairing fine wines.
Upon returning to Lompoc in 2016, he found enjoyment in working on the Oil Rigs. He would often capture breathtaking photographs of sunsets and he said it was there he felt closest to God.
He was a loyal Boston Red Sox fan, the satisfaction he felt watching "The Curse of the Bambino" becoming history with a World Series win in 2004.
He loved watching the 49ers. He loved music. He loved the beach.
Michael was energetic, loving, playful, supportive, and resilient. No matter how lost he became he always fought to make things right the best way he knew how.
Above everything, Michael loved his family and friends, and we love him so much more.
"Mookers" light lives forever in the hearts of those he loved most.
He is survived by his dad, Michael George of Wallowa, Oregon, his mom Dianne Fields (Jerry) of Las Vegas, Nevada, his sisters, Amber Cooper (Gary) and Rachel George of Las Vegas, his sister Emily George of Wallowa, his nephew Gary Cooper III, his niece Gabriella Cooper his grandmother Inez George of Lompoc, and his great aunt Alice Milligan of Lompoc. He is also survived by numerous family members and friends.
