Michael "Mike" La Riva was called to be with our Lord on September 22, 2022.  Michael was raised in the Mission Hills community and is a lifelong resident of Lompoc.

Through the years he worked in construction, as a truck driver, and on a highway maintenance crew.  Most recently he volunteered at the Lompoc food pantry serving his community.  In his free time, you would find Mike at the ocean with a fishing pole in hand, this was his happy place!

Michael is survived by his wife Diane, daughter Heather Parras of OH, siblings; Patricia Pineda and husband Angel of Lompoc, Christopher and partner Linda Smith of Marion, OH, Paula La Riva-Strosnider and husband Jeffrey of Rio Ranch, NM, Richard of Colorado Springs, CO, and Thomas of Greeley, CO, nieces and nephews; Fidel, Sonja, Christopher, Gregory, David, Kristin, Anthony, Aaron, Nicholas, and Stephanie; and several great nieces and nephews.

Michael is preceded in death by his parents Marie and Fernando La Riva, and previous spouses, Jerry La Riva and Lori La Riva.

Services will include a Mass of Christian burial Saturday, October 8th, at 9:00 am at La Purisima Catholic Church and a reception at the Valley of Flowers Half Century Club, 341 North N Street, Lompoc from 1:00-4:00 pm.
