Michael Anthony "Yogi" Serrata died Monday, April 13, 2020, at the age of 54.

Michael was born May 17, 1965, in Las Cruces, New Mexico, to Guadalupe and Louisa Serrata. He was raised and educated in Long Beach, California, where he attended Long Beach Polytechnic High School.

Formerly of Santa Barbara, Michael has been a resident of Lompoc since 2008. He was a tow truck operator with B.J. Towing Company for many years. Michael was an ordained minister with Open Bible Ministries and spent much of his time reading and studying the Bible.

Michael is survived by his daughter Gabriella, his mother Louisa Serrata of Santa Barbara, his sister Patricia Salas of Santa Barbara, his brother Guadalupe Serrata Jr.of Lompoc, and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his father Guadalupe Serrata, Sr. in 2016.

There will be a visitation on Thursday, April 23, 2020, from 3 pm to 8 pm at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary.  The graveside funeral service will be Friday, April 24, 2020, at 1 pm in the pavilion of the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
