Our beloved Michelle Rene Duffey went to rest on November 29, 2014, in Lompoc, California. She leaves behind her loving husband Michael P. Duffey; children Alyssa B. Duffey and Boomer (Connor P.) Duffey. She also leaves her extended family, sister-in-law Kelly Duffey Moore, nephew Duffey Stonebarger; mother-in-law Marie Duffey all of Lompoc, brother-in-law John H. and Laura Duffey; Will and Julia Duffey of Lawrence, Georgia; and father-in-law John R. Duffey of Lee's Summit, Missouri. She also leaves behind a loving sister Kathy S. Harvey (Michael); nieces Lauren, Allison and Megan, nephew Brendan all of Ramstein, Germany and her mother and stepfather Carol A. and Clyde Edington from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Michelle graduated from Michigan State University with degrees in Fashion Merchandising and Business. She worked as Women's Department Manager in Lansing, Michigan for Montgomery Ward and later she was Assistant Store Manager in Indianapolis, Indiana and then Kansas City, Missouri. Mike and Michelle met there and began their long love affair.

In 1995 they moved to Lompoc, CA to open a business.

She loved Jesus very much and plans to live in heaven again with her family and many wonderful friends.

She was active in Little League Baseball and AYSO Youth Soccer as Team Mom and Sideline Coach. She enjoyed watching her children participate in their various activities including softball, water polo, swimming, competitive cheerleading, baseball, soccer and basketball. Her greatest love was being a mother to her children and any other child that happened to be around. She also enjoyed Women's Bible study as a member of Village Chapel Church.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, December 5, 2014, at 11 am at Village Chapel on the corner of Constellation Road and Burton Mesa Blvd in Vandenberg Village.
