Moises Hernandez, a life-long resident of Lompoc, California, passed away unexpectedly at his home on March 8, 2022, at the age of 66.

Moises was born on October 7, 1955, in Santa Maria California, to Moises and Claudina Hernandez of Lompoc. He is preceded in death by his parents as well as his sister Dina and brother Benjamin.

Moises grew up with his three younger brothers Elias, Ruben, and Benjamin, and enjoyed deep-sea fishing and family camping trips. Moises was also a lover of music and photography. Throughout his life, he played a variety of instruments including the drums, piano, bass guitar, harmonica, and the trumpet. He played drums in the Apostolic Church that his father pastored for many years. You would regularly see him walking around his hometown of Lompoc, coffee cup in one hand, Photo Ad in the other. He was loved by his family and especially loved spending time with his great-nephews Vincent, Manuel, and Ryan–who he referred to as "the little guys".

Moises is survived by his brothers Elias and Ruben Hernandez and sister-in-law Vicki Hernandez. He was a beloved uncle to nieces and nephews Dina, Chrystian, and Brad Hernandez; Natasha Salutan and Nathaniel Hernandez; Sarah and Benjamin Hernandez; and great-nephews Mark and Eli Adams; Vincent, Manuel, and Ryan Hernandez. Moises' extended family is large with ten aunts and uncles and a big team of cousins.

Moises was a man of God and loved his family dearly. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2022, at 10 am at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary Chapel, with a burial to follow at the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
