Obituary

Moises Trejo Solis of Lompoc, California passed away on January 25, 2022.  He was loved and admired by his family and friends.  He was a family man, husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Rita Solis.

Moises is survived by his children Anthony Solis, Victoria Solis, and Moises T. Solis II.  His beloved grandchildren; Sisto Solis, Moises T. Solis III, Noah Solis, Christiana Solis, Veronique Solis-Cole, Alyxis Solis, and Alisa Solis.  Moises is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren. He was close to Rita's large extended family, including his sister-in-law, Antonia Alvarez.  Also close to his heart was his La Purisima Mission family and the docents from Prelado de Los Tesoros.

Moises worked for the California State Parks for 35 years.  During his career, he received the Silver Goblet award, Golden Bear award, and the Director of Ingenuity award.  Moises's work had him at various State Park Missions throughout the state of California.  He did demonstrations of his blacksmith skills at La Purisima Mission, El Presidio de Santa Barbara, and Mission San Antonio de Padua.

Moises touched the lives of many family members, friends, and acquaintances.  His skills as a blacksmith will keep his memory alive because he gave everyone a nail.

Visitation will be held at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary Chapel on Thursday, February 10, 2022, from 4-8 pm with a Rosary at 6 pm. A mass will be celebrated at 10 am Friday, February 11, 2022, at Queen of Angels, graveside service to follow at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery. In accordance with Covid protocols, social distancing and masks will be required at the services.
