Nancy A. Cottam Masterson was born December 20, 1932 in Santa Barbara, California and was a lifelong resident of Lompoc. She passed away peacefully April 5, 2012 at her home surrounded by her children.

Nancy enjoyed a variety of activities and especially the outdoors including horseback riding, gardening, camping, fishing and girls softball. Some of her greatest joys were spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her "little baby sweet girl", her dog Bambi.

Survivors include her daughters, Beverly Leonard, Cheri Gaitan, Alora Cottam all of Lompoc and Karen Zelkan of Washington; son, Michael Cottam of Lompoc/Washington; 10 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren who she loved dearly; and husband Richard Masterson of nine years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Allen Lee Cottam who passed away in December 1994.



Nancy had a deep love for God, and was a pillar of strength to all of her family and friends. Her light will continue to shine and live on through all of us. She will always be loved, deeply missed but never be forgotten. We love you mom, sleep with the Angels.
