Nancy Wolf was born on May 5, 1930 in Santa Barbara, CA to Richard and Myra Van Rensselaer. She passed away peacefully on January 11, 2017 after a short illness.
Nancy attended Hope School, La Cumbre Jr. High and graduated from Santa Barbara High School. She also attended UCSB before marrying her high school sweetheart, Herman Wolf. They lived in Monterey, CA for 2 years while Herman served in the US Army during the Korean War. They returned to and settled in Goleta, CA in 1953. Nancy worked with her husband in running the Goleta Bakery for many years, retiring in 1980. Nancy belonged to many bowling leagues spanning 30 years and enjoyed traveling with Herman independently and then joined Our Gang Travel Club, which took them on many wonderful trips and activities. She was an avid Dodger fan and loved working on Jig Saw puzzles.
Nancy is survived by her husband of 66 years Herman, daughter Susan Pierce (Chuck), grandsons Jeffrey and Steven Whitehair and granddaughter Katie Pierce, all of Lompoc, CA. She also leaves behind 2 great grandchildren Cambria and Jackson Whitehair. She was preceded in death by her son Ron Wolf and grandson Seth Pierce.
The family would like to thank Visiting Angels of Santa Barbara, Lompoc Skilled and Rehab Facility and Visiting Nurse and Hospice Care for helping with Nancy's peaceful transition. No services are planned at this time.
