Memorial services for Nelda F. McCabe, 76, of Lompoc will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, December 29, 2009, at the North Avenue Baptist Church with Pastor Bob Robison officiating. Burial will follow at the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.

Nelda was born August 1, 1933, in Boone, Colorado, to Frank and Katharyn Edson Tribble. She moved to Lompoc in 1959. Nelda was last employed by the City of Lompoc Aquatic Center. She was a member of the North Avenue Baptist Church, formerly the Bible Baptist Church, for 45 years.

She died Saturday, December 26, 2009, at Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara.

She was preceded in death by her husband Joe McCabe, daughter Kim Wrenne, and her parents.

Survivors (spouses) include her daughters, Frankie (Robert) Bethune, Karin Metheny and special friend Zoey, and Evelyn (John) Ferraro; sister, Ruth (Bill) Hughes; grandchildren, Brandon McCabe, Amber Deatherage, Nathan Metheny, Robbie Bethune, John Ferraro, and Andrea Ferraro; seven great-grandchildren, one niece, and seven nephews.
