IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Norberta "Nora"
Navarro
June 6, 1943 – July 7, 2025
On July 7, 2025, Norberta " Nora" Navarro had just turned 82 years when the Lord asked his angels to guide her home after a long journey with Dementia & Parkinson's. Up until the end Nora maintained her kindness, grace, compassion, appreciation of beauty, love of family and friends She was always grateful for her long life that she was able to enjoy and spend with her loving family. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Frank Garcia Jr., father Julio M. Guerrero, step-mother Eusebia B, Guerrero and sister Guadalupe Guerrero.
Nordi or Nora as she was affectionately nicknamed, was born in Fort Hancock Texas on June 6, 1943. She was raised in Lompoc California but as an adult moved to Newman California, where she proudly raised her family. She is survived by her four living children, Sylvia Lazos (Lompoc CA), Myrna Vizcaino (Ceres CA), Cynthia Gutierrez(Turlock CA), Jose Gutierrez(Turlock CA), She had 12 Grandchildren, Frankie Garcia, Priscilla Rodriguez, Albert Garcia, Moniesa Lazos, Andrew Lazos, Alexia Armstrong, EJ Vizcaino, Nicolette Gianesin, Layla Gutierrez, Eric Soto, Mikey Barrientos, Elissa Farias. She was also blessed with 18 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by several brothers and sisters.
Nora worked as a CNA for over 30 years caring for the elderly. She enjoyed giving comfort and care to her patients while working at Newman Convalescent and Lompoc Valley Comprehensive Care Center. Her family describes her as a loyal and loving mother. She was always there for her family and they were her greatest joy. She cherished time spent with her grandchildren whether in person or on the phone. She loved to keep in touch with all her family and had a gentle way of listening empathically and supporting all. No matter how she was feeling she always had a large smile and a hug to greet each person. Her enjoyment came from gathering with her family, especially during the holidays. She loved Avon and everyone was assured to receive Avon gifts on those special occasions, even the grandkids. She loved music, Spanish, Oldies and Country music and would often be found dancing with the grandkids. She loved the beach, seeing new places and reading news articles with her cup of coffee, so she could discuss current events with others. She loved watching WWE Wrestling with her grandkids and loved the San Diego Chargers Football team. She always got a kick from retelling the same funny stories and above all she cherished and spoiled her grandchildren and loved to cook for them especially her lemon chicken, though she enjoyed dining out as a family.
Her family is assured that the Lord needed another gentle angel by his side and called our beloved one, Nora, home where she can now be her family's loving new guardian angel.
The family wants to thank Nora's sister, Erlinda Guerrero Brooks, for loving and always supporting their mother in life and now supporting her children at this difficult time. Also, they extend a huge thank you to Assisted Hospice for the wonderful care, comfort and support they provided.
