Obdulia "Julie" Osuna Canaba was born September 5, 1948, in El Quelite, Sinaloa, Mexico, to Antonio and Julieta Osuna. At three months of age her family moved to Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico. At the age of 12, she came to Kingsburg, California.
Julie was always full of energy and very athletic. In junior high school, she won the presidential physical fitness award and was on the volleyball team at Kingsburg High School.
During the summer of her junior year in high school she met the love of her life, the late Eulogio "Logi" Canaba. She graduated in 1967.
After graduation, Julie worked in the fields up and down California, from Gilroy to Calexico. In 1971 she and Logi were married, and they moved to Lompoc where they raised two daughters.
Julie worked as a noon aid at Hapgood Elementary from 1978 to 1988. She worked at the Comprehensive Care Center from 1990 to 2013 as a laundry aid.
Julie enjoyed exercise, doing yoga, pilates, swimming and all kinds of fitness. She loved fashion (all of the latest trends), make-up, crafts and interior design. She loved being with her family and friends. Her smile will be missed.
