Omer John Joly of Camarillo, formerly of Lompoc, died Thursday, June 4, 2020, at the age of 87.

Omer was born May 23, 1933, in Athol, Massachusetts to William and Diana Joly.  A graduate of Allan Hancock College, Omer retired from the United States Air Force as a chaplain's assistant.  He was a member of La Purisima Catholic Church and enjoyed computers and spending time with his grandchildren.

Omer is survived by his wife Carolyn Joly of Camarillo, his daughter and son-in-law Nancy Joly-Cause and Michael Cause of Camarillo and four grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his son Omer Joly, Jr. in 1995.

A private graveside service was held in the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
