With love and gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the passing of Oscar Rodriguez Leal on May 31, 2026, at the age of 88.

Oscar was born on February 21, 1938, in Nuevo León, Mexico, to his parents, Guadalupe Leal and Refujia Rodriguez.

Oscar is survived by his beloved wife, Juanita Leal; his children, Florecita, Oscar, and Juan Leal; and his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Oscar made a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him. He loved his family deeply, and they were always his number one priority. He cherished spending time with his family and especially enjoyed family barbecues, camping trips, and sitting around the bonfire sharing stories and making memories. He never left family behind and believed in always being there for those he loved, even when others could not.

In his younger years, Oscar was a musician and singer. He enjoyed listening to music, visiting swap meets, and browsing Goodwill stores in search of unique treasures. He will be remembered for his love of music and his antique collections. Oscar was a hardworking man who always kept himself busy and encouraged those around him to do the same. He wasn't one to sleep in and believed in making the most of each day.

Truly one of a kind, Oscar will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 19, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary in Lompoc, California.
