Obituary

Otilia Villalobos peacefully passed away in her home surrounded by loved ones on Friday, November 20, 2020. She closed her eyes declaring that she was on her way to join with God.

She was a strong pillar of the family. The greatest gift she left us is to always celebrate with one another as a united family. As a devoted mother and grandmother, she was loving, supportive, affectionate, and nurtured our bodies with warm meals and calditos de pollo if we were sick. She cared for her children and grandchildren until her very last breath. Her kitchen was her domain, the stovetop always filled with humble dishes that she prepared with so much love. Our beautiful mamá loved having all her children nearby and offering us a taquito as soon as we walked into her home. She always had a smile for us and a consejo if she felt we needed guidance. It didn't matter how difficult life was treating her, she always put her children first. Every conversation ended with her blessing; " que Dios te bendiga y te acompañe ." She taught us to have respect for ourselves and to treat others with dignity. Her greatest pride came from seeing her children salir adelante, vivir felices y cuidar de su familia . Her strong character was evident in the many ways she protected her children. Her good nature was reflected in her joy for music, dancing, and how she joked around about her own children's nicknames. She was an example of courage and strength, courage and strength that paid off magnificently with the prosperity that her children enjoy now. She enjoyed watching television with her husband, shopping, and vacationing in Michoacán , México , her native homeland. To her last breath she professed her faith in declaring amen to the promise of being received in heaven, while in life she shared the gospel with her children and grandchildren. She sowed semillas de amor for her family and in doing so she will always be remembered. She lived 74 extraordinary years and is survived by her husband, seven children and fifteen grandchildren.
