The visitation for Mr. Oz Holland will be on Friday, March 2, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. with the funeral service at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Starbuck-Lind Mortuary. Interment will follow in the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery. Elder Julius Ford of Mount Zion Church of God in Christ will officiate.

Oz was born January 14, 1953 in Fresno. Formally of Bakersfield, he moved to Lompoc in 1974 from Santa Barbara after working briefly as a janitor at the Santa Barbara City College. He was an avid recycler.

He is survived by his father, Aaron Samuel Holland of Fresno, a daughter Linda of Bakersfield, and a grandson. Also left to mourn his passing are his brothers Cornell McGriff of Lompoc, Earl Lee Smith of Santa Barbara, his sister Tanna Smith of Lompoc, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Clara Holland of Lompoc in 2006.
