Pamela Audrey Jenkins, 72, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, the 18th of January. Pam was born in Ipswich, England, in 1942, where she grew up with her siblings Peggy, Robert and Kenneth. Pam worked for the Government Post Office after graduating from school. In 1976 Pam met Dave Jenkins; they were married in 1979 and moved to California in 1980 when Dave was reassigned to Vandenberg AFB.
Pam found joy and relaxation tending her beautiful garden, watching the Koi in her pond, and grooming her cats. As kind an loving as Pam was, there was a streak of rebel in her, and she attended numerous rallies protesting motorcycle helmet laws. She and Dave traveled throughout the US and Canada on their Harley, and crowned their adventures with a three-month motorcycle tour of England and Europe.
Pam is survived by her husband Dave, siblings Peggy Snell and Kenneth Margetson, her children Teresa Smith, Antony Boyton, Wayne Boyton, and Mark Boyton, stepchildren Robert Jenkins and Trinda Linn, thirteen grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary from 12:00 to 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 27th. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Pam's memory to Volunteers for Inter-Valley Animals (VIVA), 113 North D St, Lompoc, CA, 93436
