Patricia "Pat" B. Lopez passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 24, 2012, at 85 years of age. She was born on July 8, 1926, in Van Nuys, California to Refugio and Lucy Lopez. Her home had always been between the Central Coast (Arroyo Grande, Grover Beach, Oceano) and Lompoc, and for that reason her final resting place will be in Arroyo Grande Cemetery among her father, mother, brothers, sisters, her daughters and other family members.

Pat was preceded in death by her beloved daughters Sherry Lopez, Ruby Gonzales, Antonia Burnham and Augustina Alvarado; sister, Susan Garcia and brothers; Angel, Refugio, Serafin and Avelino Lopez.

Her surviving children include Molly Gonzales (Lorenzo) and Terri Moya of Lompoc; Mona Castillo of Gilroy; Reyna Castillo of Madera; Ray Castillo, Jr. (Rachel) of San Jose; 35 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; brother Felix Lopez (Lucia) and sisters Lucy Gonzalez; Mary Castillo (Frank); Lisa Plemmons; Teresa Rueda (Robert); Jessica Lopez; sister in laws Stella Lopez and Julia Lopez; aunts; Mary Robledo and Julia DelMurro.

Pat loved camping, fishing and visiting the casinos. Grandma 'Coffee' as she was known by some of her grandchildren enjoyed dancing, jet skiing and trying new adventures with her grandchildren. In the last few years although she had to give up some of the activities she had previously enjoyed she still was able to dance with them. She will be missed by all of her family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 am Thursday, March 29, 2012 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Arroyo Grande. Prayer of the Holy Rosary will be 7 pm Wednesday at the church with visitation one hour to the evening service.
