Patricia Zucker of Lompoc died Tuesday, May 12, 2009, at the age of 73.

Patricia was born May 28, 1935 in Dubuque, Iowa to William and Evelyn Husemann. She was raised and educated in Ottawa, Illinois and graduated from Marquette High School. A lifelong homemaker, her greatest joy was in raising her family. In her free time she enjoyed crafts.

A resident of Lompoc since 1965, Patricia attended Queen of Angels Catholic Church.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years Gabriel Zucker in 1995, and her brother Paul Husemann. She is survived by her daughters Therese Marie Souza of Fresno, and Karen Ann Williams of Kerman, her sons Peter John Zucker of Nipomo, Keith Edward Zucker of Fresno, Daniel Zucker of Lompoc, Dean Zucker of Lompoc, Scott Zucker of Lompoc and Kurt Zucker of Arroyo Grande, her sisters Ann Sanborn of Hemet and Sandra Johnson of Ottawa, her brothers Robert Husemann of Ottawa, and David Husemann of Princeton, Illinois, 14 grandchildren, two great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 22, at 10 am at Queen of Angels Catholic Church followed by a reception in the Parish Hall. Cremation will be followed by private inurnment in the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.

Patricia's family suggests that memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 604 East Ocean Avenue, Lompoc, CA 93436. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Starbuck-Lind Mortuary.
